The Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center (SJJCC) is the only full-service Jewish Community Center (JCC) on Long Island’s North Shore, providing quality programs and services based on Jewish values, traditions, heritage and culture to enrich the lives of all the individuals and families in the community.

The SJJCC Wordpress website was loading at a terribly slow speed. The client wanted to improve the site performance as quickly as possible. Moreover, early Sep 2014, Sjjcc.org got a serious hack that defaced the site’s interface and the Administrator was taken over several times before.

CB/I implemented a series of web performance optimizing activities that made site speed increase significantly from 39/100 to 76/100 in 2 days only.

Regarding the hacking issue, our web security experts took quick action to detect the cause. The problem was found out that there was a hole from a slideshow plugin the site was using, which allowed downloading any files from the server. And the attacker had utilized the hole to take control over the site’s Administrator. After clearly defining the issue, our security team also did cleaning actions to completely remove the malicious files as well as enhance the site’s security.

Since being highly appreciated over our works on enhancing the site’s web performance and security, CB/I was trusted by the client to develop a login module for parents and teachers called the ECC page. This allows teachers to update class schedules and photos, and parents can login to view latest class activities for their kids.
